One of the days in Dubrovnik, Tomo wanted to go to this island where they had a real sand beach, coz Dubrovnik has mostly stone beaches. That does not bother me though. My camera wont get all sandy, you know.
My mood was not the best this day. It was insanly hot, and viking me isn’t really used to that (even though when I’m in Norway I dream of going to warm places all the time, but when I’m there I complain). Gresset er grønnere på andre siden. Yupp, look up that expression.
To get to this sand beach, we had to sail across the sea like a pirate. No, not really. We sat in a boat among other tourists and waited. Took about 1 hour or so to get to the island. After arriving, we had to walk another 30 minutes through the jungle. There was sooo much spider webs that I almost forgot what a bad mood I was in.
Finally at the beach, I listened to all the Norwegians and Swedish around. Pretending not to understand anything. That can be quite interesting, you know? The swedish people in front of me tried to imitate Norwegian saying in the weirdest accent: “Jeg snakker norsk ( I speak Norwegian)”. I just said back to them: “Yeah, so do I”. They got quiet after that… Good.
I’m back in Norway, thinking about Croatia everyday! If I had the money and vacation, I would go back tomorrow!
